I also believe that a lawyer’s first job is to solve issues – not to make things worse or more expensive. Thus, a lawyer should work thoughtfully, yet relentlessly to solve the problem - with a phone call, at the settlement table, or by justly but devastatingly winning the case at trial. Therefore, a lawyer should be able to work with people – and have the skills and the backbone to vigorously prosecute or defend the case in a courtroom.
